Today I write
the story of a bride
who is said to marry as they say
a man of pride
little girl of sixteen
to a school who has never been
is asked to lay
with a man never seen
since the day she was born
her world was forlorn
it was all work no play
from night to morn
from night to morn??
Yes night to morn
She had to return home
With her clothes torn.
Her life was a bitter truth
There was no mercy no chance of ruth
To make money her parents sold her everyday
Not a night to sleep not a dawn to pray
Today, sitting in her room
Her eyes were flowing gloom
She knew she was sold again
She hadn’t a shoulder to loom
She sits back searching her fault
But she did not know it was by default
That the men march ahead
And women have to halt
She is unable to decide
Her mind treads wide
To take this marriage
As a bliss or another dark side
Even after a dreadful past
she was getting married at last
but if the groom turns to be one of “those”
would the situation be a total contrast??
There was nothing she could have done
The marital ceremonies had begun
The day was quickly turning to dusk
She couldn’t fight, she couldn’t run
Immediately after reaching the room
She was laid down by her groom
The cold truth revealed what it had known
With tears in her eyes, the girl terribly moaned
At the break of the dawn
As the girl opened her eyes like of a swan
There was no one beside her
She just kept reaching on
Her husband was nowhere to be found
She couldn’t seek help as to marital knot she was bound
But sooner she realized that he would never come
There was no point to look around
Once again the fate betrayed
A little girl of a village maid
When returned home she was called a curse
And not a single effort to console her was made
The girl was parted with her so called spouse
And forbidden to enter her own house
So with a finishing idea
The girl aroused.
In this world of shame
The little girl sighed
In this era of pain
A blade was tried
And on the next day of her marriage
An unlucky bride died………
Don’t have that terrible look on ur face becoz reality does not have a “happily ever after”
